The Swift Drag is a southern-gothic-psychedelic rock duo from Austin, Texas fronted by singer/writer/guitarist Will Evans and backed by David Jobe on drums. Their debut digital release, We Won’t Need That - EP, features a total of five songs, four of which were tracked live in a single eight hour studio session and a bonus track that was recorded at a later date in the band’s rehearsal space. “The end goal was to do our absolute best with the limited time and resources we had, which boiled down to capturing the full raw sound that we enjoy most when we play live,” says Jobe. At first glance The Swift Drag is easily categorized alongside famous duo trail blazers The White Stripes and The Black Keys, but ultimately take their musical influences from 70’s rock, blues greats, 90’s grunge and even trip hop. Be prepared for heavy hitting drums, droning guitar riffs, and moody vocals which contrast with moments of melodic release. “Creating a massively layered sound with only guitar, drums and vocals has become an obsession of mine,” says Evans. “I’m always experimenting with new ways to simultaneously orchestrate multiple effects to create depth in our songs and I’m excited to showcase some of those ideas on our first release.” When the band formed in 2013, Austinite Will Evans was already well into the process of developing his layered guitar playing style and had written new music in anticipation of finding a drummer that was hip to the idea of joining a rock duo. The search proved more difficult than he thought and in a final effort he posted an online musician wanted ad to which David Jobe replied. New to Austin and fresh from Muskogee, Oklahoma, David was eager to jump into the Austin music scene. After a quick lunch meeting to discuss their musical compatibility, they both agreed to an impromptu house jam to test the waters. To each other’s surprise, their styles meshed exceedingly well and David was on board in no time. Within a few months after meeting, the band was ready to play live. In the words of an unsuspecting barfly, "This ain't no plug in a guitar and strum some cords over drums type of duo.”

Lauren Pierce is one of those generational instrumentalists with not only the technique necessary to excel on her instrument, but with a flair and presentation that amazes everyone who watches her musically navigate on the double bass. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Lauren began her musical studies at the age of seven on piano and voice. Later, she was introduced to the Double Bass and soon began lessons with the late Douglas Sommer, section bassist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. While studying with Douglas Sommer, she continued her studies at the University of South Carolina under the tutelage of Dr. Craig Butterfield. During her studies at USC, Lauren was given the Presser Scholar Award, named a Magellan Scholar, and in 2010, performed a concerto with the University of South Carolina Symphony as the winner of that years USC Concerto Competition. After graduating from USC, Lauren moved to Denton, Texas to study the double bass with Jeffrey Bradetich. During this period, Lauren competed in the American String Teachers Association Competition and the International Society of Bassists Competition. In 2016, she became the first young artist to be sponsored by Pirastro Strings, Gmbh. Lauren has worked in many different genres and artistic mediums. In 2008, she became a section member in the South Carolina Philharmonic. Lauren appeared as a soloist in the 2011 film "Luz," by Los Angeles filmmaker Ellie Ann Fenton. She has recorded as a soloist on multiple albums, including singer-songwriter Collin Hauser's debut album Collin Hauser with Grammy-award winning recording engineer Tim Kimsey, Fall River Footman's Mullen Road, and R&B artist Mikaela Kahn's Milk And Honey. Lauren brings an impressive performance repertoire to the table, exceptional for the double bass, where she takes many a risk playing works designed for more versatile and manageable smaller instruments. Three Beards are a Texas alternative rock band formed by Hank Barbe, a combat vet featured in a TIME Magazine article for a lifesaving mission in Iraq in 2003 titled "Anatomy of a Medivac". Hank started playing music after the hardships of war, and it helped with his PTSD, as well as created a new career where he could channel his energy and message. Not even a year after starting, they were signed to CBM Records, he met Ian Dehle and they quickly formulated a new sound with producer and drummer Mike Froedge (Double Drive, Black Label Society) and bass player William "Billy" Bosler. The band's sound is rock meets Blues Traveler, meets Dave Matthews and the sophomore release "Lessons Learned" has gained attention from fans, movie producers and other bands, covering the inner thoughts of a soldier struggling with PTSD and suicide. The band are putting out new music monthly as well as a new full length soon and playing constantly. They can be hired as a 2 piece for $300 or a full band for $600.

All those memories and hardships, even now the hard work they have pushed themselves to thrive which can be heard through the fingers of Alex's playing and the punch funk of Johnny's bass. Its raw music from their soul with an energetic punch that is hard to come by.

Ogden Payne has come a long way from rapping in a friend's garage after school for fun. The Austin, Texas native began taking rap seriously in 2010 at the age of 17 when he recorded a 5 song demo that he later distributed around his high school. In 2011, Ogden set out to craft his own sound and began recording his first mixtape, Late Night Thoughts. The debut release garnered local press and assisted in growing his buzz. Before he released his second mixtape, Late Night Thoughts Vol. 2: Fame & Misfortune, Ogden was determined to become a man before he became an artist; it would unknowingly take him two years to reach a point where he was able to let the hurts and anger of his past go. Throughout his journey, Ogden was trying to get a grip on what life is truly about. After a failed long-term relationship, he found himself hurt and lost at 20 years old. Music being far from his main focus, Ogden was looking to defer his attention off of himself and began to help others who were in dire need of life's essentials that he had taken for granted. Within a year, Ogden slowly put his life back together piece by piece and began to have a positive outlook on life that he never had before. But something was still missing. Realizing the impact that the positive words and relationships he had with people who had been in similar situations sparked something in Ogden. He began to want to stop a cycle of young adults suffering from a lack of direction. Ogden finally found the selfless calling he had been searching for in life. Fueled by pain and inspired by growth, Ogden finished Late Night Thoughts Vol. 2, with the help of his friends, Joel "Isaac Haze" Fentanes and Skip Downey. Fame & Misfortune documents a story of one young man's adversities with the hope of helping another struggling young adult grow beyond their hardships. Wisdom, growth, and sacrifice are just a few of the values that inspire Ogden Payne. With the help of producer, Isaac Haze, the two have tasked themselves to create Better You Than Me; a sound that embodies laughable past mistakes, while balancing the pressures and fears of the unknown future.

Starting out at 5 years old making dance routines in her mothers kitchen she quickly gained a major love for everything music related. She started formal dance training at the age of 12 , then quickly began to advance and progress in her passion and in four short years she began her professional career as a dancer for the Walt Disney Company. She spent 2 years traveling with the company, growing as a dancer while she attended University of Houston. In the following years,Miss Myi began to dance as a professional cheerleader for the Houston Aeros.Teaching herself to read sheet music and later learning to play 5 instruments it was always a dream of hers to combine her love of music and dance, and create the music that makes the whole world dance with her. Over the years shes worked with companies including Disney, Sony, and IMG. Miss Myi takes pop princess to a whole new level, adding in some rock-star vibe, blending in some bass with a whole lot of dance. If Kesha met Britney Spears in a dark alley and started to fight but decided to make a song instead, this is what their music would sound like. Its hot, high energy, and unapologetically in your face catchy. Its the music you want as your soundtrack while you spend the night making great memories. She is currently preparing herself for a very busy spring. Next month, she begins a promotional tour in the southern states. In addition, Miss Myi is gearing up for the release of “I Work” — a fun, energetic collection of music that gets everyone off the wall and on the dance floor. Her debut EP shows her being as an artist, showcasing her love for a good time, catchy irresistible words, and amazing songwriting talent.

Since planting themselves in Austin, Texas in the summer of 2010, Knifight has been distinguishing themselves as a premiere act in the indie-electronic scene. Formed in 2002 as a solo IDM/noise project of singer John Gable, Knifight has slowly evolved into a fleshed-out quartet of four distinct songwriters, producers and instrumentalists. Referencing the melodic tendencies and dancy electronics of Xiu Xiu, New Order and LCD Soundsystem along with the kind of guitar and bass bombast that brought post-punk to arenas, the members of Knifight have created music that is both introspective and widely accessible. Known for their intensely energetic live performances, Knifight has had the opportunity to play official showcases at both SXSW 2011 and SXSW 2012 in addition to being asked to open for the likes of Future Islands, Active Child, Com Truise, White Denim and The Octopus Project among others. The band has also received much love from Austin’s own KUT and KOOP radio stations, including an hour-long exclusive spot as well as several interviews and guest DJ opportunities. On May 18, 2012 the band released the IN THE FIRE EP, a preview of their anticipated debut full-length record due out 2013 which will be the follow-up to two other highly regarded self-produced EP’s: 2011’s The End Is Knifight and 2009’s Now We’re Invisible.
