Skittish has toured nationally, charted on the USA CMJ radio charts, had songs placed in MTV's Made and the E Channel, headlined shows at SXSW two years in a row, and most recently decided for a complete DIY approach to the industry instead of agreeing to a prominent indie label's deal. The music of Skittish straddles genres. Many bands cannot master such a balancing act, but various Skittish songs have been played, and been quite popular, on rock, country, pop, and metal radio stations. The latest album is called The Five Stages EP. This is a five song album representing the five stages of grief people go through when making a huge change in their lives. It was made immediately following the biggest roadblock Skittish has seen. But rising, resilient, it has almost matched the previous albums sales in only the span of a month.
