ROCBOI (HOOD.METAL.R&B) tagged his sound as “Hood Metal” in which is a lyrical and musical fusion of Rap, R&B, Rock and Metal crossed and laced into one.

ROCBOI’s efforts over the years have shown dedication to music artistry and his passion for song writing throughout accomplishments that dates back to 2009. His musical break through came when he linked up with HB, one the industry’s hottest indie labels and management companies, “SignYaSelf Records”. SignYaSelf was volatile in the launch of two of the Atlanta’s superstar hip-hop artists, Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy. Through joint efforts with label SignYaSelf and Ladell Entertainment, ROCBOI acquired the material to create his first international (EP) release and opened the door to becoming of the first artist to coin the new Atlanta sound.

ROCBOI also released his first official single pop/rock record entitled “Ready 2 Rock” featuring Hex-O (Gucci Mane’s So Icey/1017 Brick Squad | Mizay Entertainment) under Interscope Digital in June 2010. ROCBOI also toured with Bone Thugs N Harmony during their UNI5 southeastern tour and performed with one of Atlanta’s hottest rap trios, Travis Porter and new R&B artist Bryan J under Red Zone | Def Jam.

ROCBOI finished up his first album in 2012 with promotional assistance from Red Zone Entertainment | Social Butterfly Marketing with beat maker Keenan Coby (Cirara – Heavy Rotation) brother of platinum producer Kenneth “Soundz” Coby of Usher’s US Records and Red Zone | Def Jam.
In 2017 ROCBOI received a major movie placement for his song “MindFuk” in the 2018 film release titled
“Under the Silver Lake” directed by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, 2014) starring Andrew Garfield
(Hacksaw Ridge, 2016 – The Amazing Spider-Man, 2012/2014) and Riley Keough (It Comes At Night - 2017)(Mad Max (Fury Road) - 2015) and Topher Grace (Interstellar, 2014 – Predators, 2010).

ROCBOI has also written unreleased material for artists Birdman(Cashmoney), Trey Songz, Jeremih, and Shawty Lo under Bigg Von of Make It Happen Management and Grammy winning producer Magnedo7 of Eminem (Recovery) , 50 Cent (Murder by Numbers) and influenced some of today’s hottest artists such as Rihanna (Rockstar 101) feat. Slash(Guns N Roses) and Miley Cyrus (Album: Can’t Be Tamed).
