A little bit about me:
I am originally from Sioux City, Iowa, the greatest flyover state in the Midwest. Growing up I was fortunate enough to have a pretty amazing family supporting me-- even during my diva in diapers phase. I would force everyone to sit in the living room while I would perform my favorite Shania Twain songs, and if anyone dared speak I would yell, “SHHH! Now I have to start over!” See what I mean? Diva in training. Then I hit that lovely awkward stage. You know what I'm talking about -- middle school. Glasses, braces, and social weirdness. It was great. In fact, my school did the song “We Are The World” and I took my part as Cyndi Lauper very seriously. The day of the performance I showed up with multicolored hair and sang my heart out. From this moment on I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So I started playing open mic nights, as an eighth grader.
