Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, Shumaila Hemani, an Alberta based Sufi singer-songwriter brings new musical interpretations to the traditional repertoire learned from master musicians in Pakistan for diverse listeners around the world. With memorable showcases at the Femme Wove Festival -(2019) and the Banff Arts Centre, Shumaila’s music continues to inspire diverse audiences.
