Morning Theft started out as a duo who came from an indie rock band. Deciding to not rush back into the rock music world right away, Jenelle (vocals) and Nick (guitar) explored acoustic folk music and the scene that came with it. After a few years the two decided that it was time to go back and embrace their roots in energetic, big sounding rock. Soon after JD (bass) and Cody (drums) joined and the band embarked on a sound that captured the personal and emotional aspects that came from their acoustic beginnings, while taking advantage of the range and experimentation of sounds and the energy that comes from being in a rock band.
