Billboard Magazine award recipient, Laurie Dameron, has been playing the guitar for over 40 years and singing even longer. Between solo performances and performances with her band, Laurie D and the Blues Babes, she has performed for hundreds of venues in and out of Colorado over the past 20 years.
Dameron has produced and arranged three CDs. The first, Utah Dream, is all original folk, pop and blues. The second, Looking Through the Blue, is all original jazz compositions. The latest project is 12 of Laurie’s favorite jazz standards and one original, the title cut, I Can't Wait to See You Again. She does 95% of the guitar work plus a lot of the percussion.
Laurie's repertoire of instrumentals, light jazz and upbeat blues is perfect as solo for events such as cocktail parties, art openings, wine tasting's and other special events. She can be background yet create a pleasant ambiance. For larger events she can perform as a duo, trio, quartet or full band.
For weddings "I would LOVE to provide special music for your special day and think I would be perfect for this particular request. I would be glad to learn two special songs at your request!
I can provide gentle acoustic guitar instrumentals for pre ceremony and seating. I can sing two or three songs for the ceremony; including special requests.
For the reception/cocktail hour I can do jazz guitar/vocals; romantic standards such as "Blue Moon", "I've Got a Crush on You", "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Someone to watch Over Me". I am a very accomplished musician.
If you like I can spruce it up with some upbeat blues and pop. I have been known to get folks up and dancing even as a soloist! OR I can just create a nice ambiance and be background.

Received an award of Honorable mention for her song, “I Can’t Wait to See You Again” in the 16th and 17th Annual Billboard World Song Contest. Billboard said "this is an impressive feat. With thousands of entries coming in each year exemplifying top notch quality songwriting there seems to be a trend promoting an ever increasing level of songwriting."
Was a top ten finalist in the 2011 Tipperary World Peace Song Contest for her song “What Can I Do?”
