Laketown Riots is a newfolk music project created by singer-songwriter Dmitri Glover. Part of the small but growing sub-genre, newfolk carries on the tradition of some of the “Old Timey” traditional sounds and instruments with lyrics reflecting today’s modern struggle. LTR’s lyrics in particular often contrast the old rustic feel of the music with lyrics that often deal with the struggle of isolationism in an increasingly technological world.
