Kiarra Young, a singer-songwriter from Honolulu, blends R&B, soul, pop, and Hawaiian reggae. Inspired by artists like Tori Kelly, Sza, Keahiwai, and Kimie Miner, her music draws from diverse influences. Kiarra began songwriting in 2019 during college and deepened her craft during the pandemic, teaching herself ukulele and guitar. Music became a therapeutic outlet, helping her navigate mental health challenges. She graduated from Occidental College in 2023 with a degree in music production and recently completed her Master’s in music production and songwriting at Berklee College of Music. Her debut EP, Ka Makana, celebrates her Hawaiian roots and transformative year.
