J. Reign gets around. From Chicago to Atlanta with stops in Indiana, J. wants to represent the people everywhere and anywhere. To keep expanding, J. Reign just keeps doing what he does: writes rhymes, develops hooks and records tracks and videos.
J. was born and raised in the city of Chicago, but at age 18 he moved with his mother to Atlanta, GA. It was in this southern city that J. hooked up with Big Mill Productions who have helped the young rapper establish himself in the South as well as the Midwest. Which is fitting, as J. has called many places home as he has traveled the country looking to establish a foothold wherever he can.
A writer and performer from an early age, J. has used his gifts for rhyming and his special cadence and delivery to create songs that get into the heads of listeners and turns them on to the J. Reign sound. He works hard at his lyrics as well as at crafting the complete song. J. released his first LP in 2013 to great audience response on LiveMixTapes. The Reign Gretzky Pre-Season LP helped establish this theme of greatness and the spirit of a musical game where J. competes for the hearts and minds of listeners everywhere.
Looking to capitalize on the success of his first LP, J. Reign has been busy playing shows, recording tracks and videos and trying to get his name out there. He has played gigs across Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and in Atlanta, GA and is looking to expand even further.
J. Reign has also been at work recording a new LP titled Hat Trick which is hosted by the one and only “Jack Thriller” (Comedian). Also he has been busy collaborating on videos as well, including his next video, ”Wrong Wit Me" which is the new single off his Reign Gretzky: Hat Trick mixtape which is going live early august, featuring Nico Racks & Tre Dolla. The song is a lesson in how not to stress out over the things you can’t control.
You may not be able to control everything in life, but you can control your own destiny and that’s exactly what J. intends to do as he expands his reign across the country. Look for him in a city near you.
