Grit is the brainchild of five young men born and raised in Tampa, Florida looking to put rock 'n' roll music back on the map. Based out of college town Gainesville, Ricky Cagno, Jonathon Franklin, Ian Heausler, Max Rowe and Gytis Garsys incorporated all of their music influences to create a distinct southern sound that doesn't seem to have the presence it deserves in music. With raw, ruthless energy, the band performs in a manner that brings audiences to tears and non-stop movement. Grit's independently released debut album "Tangerine St." is 37 minutes of bad ass rock 'n' roll madness.

The band moved in to a house together in August of 2014, writing and performing together while strengthening their bond and sound. Playing a variety of places around Gainesville, such as The Jam and High Dive, as well as a variety of house parties to cater to the crazy college crowd of the city, Grit is known for putting on rugged and raw rock 'n' roll shows.
