He has recorded since 1969 with Earth, Wind, & Fire, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, Curtis Fuller, Benny Golson, Cindy Blackman, Houston Person, Abbey Lincoln, Javon Jackson, Eddie Henderson, Idris Muhammad, Michael Urbaniak and Charles Tolliver.
He is famous for albums recorded in the 1970's with Black Jazz Records Label; Infant Eyes, Revelation, Spirit of the New Land, and Adam's Apple. Doug fuses his style with great players Jimmy Smith to Larry Young Jr. into a post-bop Afro centric organ band groove machine
