Born and raised in Harlem, New York, the Mecca of style and culture, David Pinks has developed into a renaissance artist not seen since the likes of Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald. After a chance encounter with superstar Kanye West, at the age of 16, David worked on Kanye's very first album "The College Dropout." Through that experience Kanye gave David mentorship and guidance to write, produce and perform at a world class level. Shortly after, David went on to work with several major artists. He also began to produce and write music for television and commercial brands. Recently, he has landed music placements on Fox's new hit television show "Empire."
