Birthday Club is the project of Houston, TX based musician, songwriter and producer, Stephen Wells. Summoning an off-kilter, kaleidoscopic incarnation of bedroom pop, Wells swirls together dark and jangly musings with a backdrop of brooding synthesizers. The project's debut release, the "Lighten Up" EP, described the project as “a force to be reckoned with,” by national outlets like Consequence of Sound and also earned many accolades such as "Best Albums of the Year" from the Houston Press and "Must See Pop of SXSW" by the Austin Chronicle.
